Smelly Cat Coffeehouse & Roastery is Charlotte's longest running, award-winning locally owned coffeehouse since 2000 and home to NoDa's Coffee Roaster. Smelly Cat's name is a nod to the 90s sitcom, Friends. Currently, our patio walk up window is available 7 a.m.-2 p.m. for those on the run or with dogs. Stay awhile enjoying our cozy inside where you can have your order taken by one of our baristas or order straight from your table using the table QR code. First timers, please let us know! We are thrilled to offer samples of our cold brew, house made syrups and house roasted daily batch brews.

We love coming here most Sundays. Wonderful tradition. Always gotta get my latte and zucchini bread. Everyone is always so kind and I love when they have cartoons on!

The best coffeehouse in all of Charlotte. The staff is friendly and attentive. The coffee and food are amazing. It is NoDa's living room. They roast their own beans and that makes all the difference. The coffee is at once sublime and transformative. I love their breakfast options. I have tried their burrito and sourdough bread sandwich -- both are delicious! I highly recommend Smelly Cat!

Another great place for top tier latte art baristas! AND THE MUSIC! No other cafe compares to the vibe here (: Only complaint here is their lack of dishware, plastic "to-go" stuff should be phasing out by now right? Consumers are aware of plastic waste in our waterways 🌊

Another brilliant coffee house that gets it. It’s fun, inviting, laid back! This is exactly how it should feel. Then they match that vibe with a great roast. This place was a lot of fun and super cool.

My favorite coffee shop in Charlotte! You need to try their breakfast burritos and spiced brown sugar latte. Everything is made in-house and absolutely delicious. Not to mention all the baristas are wonderful! Shout out to Nat, Brian, Nick, and Jen for always brightening my day. :)
